The best way to get a feel for Claflin is to visit us. Learn about our programs, talk to our faculty about your interests, and see that "Claflin Confidence" in action when you meet our current students.
We welcome our prospective students, their families and groups to visit our campus when it best fits your schedule during the week. Campus visits are designed to give you a snapshot of what Claflin University has to offer:
Meet an Admissions representative who will share who we are and where we are headed
- Go on walking tour of our campus led by a student tour guide
- Meet with an Admissions Counselor to discuss the application process and learn how Claflin can be affordable for you
- Sit in on a class - let us know in advance; we will be happy to arrange it
Private campus tours begin at the Office of Admissions, which is located in Tingley Memorial Hall in the center of campus. Group tours and information sessions start in the James & Dorothy Elmore Chapel.
Walking tours of the campus generally walk throughout our 43-acres with its historical landmarks. The tours also include entry into the academic buildings, the Campus Center, the library and the University Chapel. For the safety and privacy of our students, walking tours are not always permitted inside of the residential space of the residence halls.
All tours are offered between 10:00am and 3:30pm.
Note: Tours are not available during Spring Break, Honors and Awards Convocation, Good Friday and Final Exams (see the "Upcoming Events" list on Claflin University's homepage for those dates).
